Terminal building and operator
The government of Costa Rica awarded the Coriport Consortium, led by ADC & HAS, the concession to design, finance, construct and operate the new international terminal building and its associated facilities, as well as approximately 70,000m2 of airport land currently occupied by the existing terminal and associated facilities. ADC & HAS is a 45% equity stake-holder, and will be the airport operator via an Operations and Management contract with Coriport, the Concession company.
The new terminal building will handle all of Liberia’s International and Domestic passenger traffic. Construction will start April 1, 2010. In November 2008, a brand new Hilton Garden Inn opened its doors. It is located across from the Liberia Airport.
