Sheffield City Airport Sheffield City Airport opened in 1997.

Although no scheduled flights run from the Airport, the Airport thrives as both a general aviation and heliport centre, offering fixed wing and helicopter flight tuition and pilot training, as well as pleasure flights and business charters.

The Airport is ideally located for the M1 and M18 motorways, with fast rail links to London from Sheffield and Doncaster. Bus services run from the Airport to Sheffield City Centre and the Meadowhall complex.

Sheffield City Centre is only 4 miles away and provides a good mix of retail and leisure facilities, including the recently opened 'Winter Gardens' and Millennium art gallery.

Derbyshire and the Peak District are within a short drive, with the attractions of Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the old market town of Bakewell.
