An Aerolíneas Argentinas MD-83 deplaning at Guzmán Airport Gobernador Horacio Guzmán International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional de Jujuy - Gobernador Horacio Guzmán) (IATA: JUJ, ICAO: SASJ) is an airport in Jujuy Province, Argentina serving the city of San Salvador de Jujuy.
Inaugurated by Governor Darío Arias on April 19, 1967, it was originally named Aeropuerto El Cadillal. The airport was renamed for Horacio Guzmán, governor for most of the period between 1958 and 1966, and by whose initiative the facility was built. It is located 33 km (21 mi) southeast of the city center, in Perico.
Aerolíneas Argentinas used to use Jujuy Airport for refuelling before long flights to Bogotá, Los Ángeles, Mexico City and Lima.

Dr. Horacio Guzmanwas born in the province of Jujuy on February 16, 1913. His parents were Stanislaus Flavio Guzman and Margarita Ocampo Assumption. " In 1939 graduated from the Faculty of Law, National University of Cordoba with the title of lawyer. In the province conducted a prominent political work from the ranks of the Radical Civic Union. In 1940 he was elected provincial, reelected in 1950. With the breakup of Radicalism in 1957 began to lead the UCRI . On February 23, 1958 wins the governor of Jujuy pear for a very wide margin. The government came with clear ideas and purposeful. Among some of the works of his government are the International Airport Jujuy The Cadillal; a comprehensive housing plan, roads throughout the province; International Bridge La Quiaca (ARGENTINA) - Villazon (BOLIVIA), paving of Route 34 in the territory of Jujuy , Ecole Normale Superieure of Quiaca, Institute of Economics in 1973 is transformed into Faculty of Economics, School of Suipacha in Bolivia, hospitals in La Quiaca, Abra Pampa, Perico, Fraile Pintado, Libertador General San Martín, Yuto , Children's Hospital, Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Palace Court, Honorable Legislature of the province; Stadium Basketball Federation, chapels and churches, established the retirement of 82% mobile for teachers. In the elections of July 1963 was again elected governor of Jujuy. Government for the third time his province of January 1, 1982 to October of that year. In 1985 he was elected National Deputy, a position he resigned upon assuming the Administration of San Salvador de Jujuy, a position that was obtained for the first time through elections. He was decorated by Pope John XXIII with the Order of St. Gregory the Great in the Grade of Commander in May 1960. In November of that year the government awarded him the medal Bolivia Condor of the Andes and in April 1986, the Committee of Distinction International Organization of Nations gave him the Award of Merit Political, being the sole ruler of northwestern Argentina to receive this distinction. He died on August 11 1982.De his large family inherited the passion for politics, his daughter Dr. Cristina Guzmán was Congresswoman and her granddaughter Monica Arancio Contadora was the first female senator National Jujuy.
