Bedourie Airport (IATA: BEU, ICAO: YBIE) is an airport in Bedourie, Queensland, Australia. Airlines and destinations
Coordinates - 24°20′49″S 139°27′42″E Bedourie is a small town located in the Channel Country of western Queensland, Australia, lying on Eyre Creek. It is located 1600 kilometres west of the state capital, Brisbane, and 200 kilometres north of Birdsville. At the 2006 census, Bedourie and the surrounding area had a population of 142. Twenty years earlier the town had 60 residents. Bedourie is the administrative centre of the Diamantina Shire, which also comprises the towns of Birdsville and Betoota. The Shire Council moved from Birdsville to Bedourie in 1953. Total shire population is 326 (Census 2001). Bedourie has an aquatic centre, a hotel built from adobe bricks in the 1880s and a racetrack. When the Georgina River experiences severe floods the town can be cut off by road for months at a time.
