Amman Civil Airport (IATA: ADJ, ICAO: OJAM) at Marka , is a one-terminal airport situated in East Amman, Jordan. It was the home hub of Royal Jordanian Airlines, the national flag carrier, until Queen Alia International Airport was opened in 1983.
It mainly serves now as a regional airport servicing domestic and nearby international routes. It is home to airlines such as Royal Wings, Jordan Aviation, and Arab Wings . Amman Airport is operational 24 hours a day.
After the War began in Iraq in early 2002 the United States military used the airport because it was close to Iraq at that time. Airlines and destinations
