Vilankulo Airport is a airport in Mozambique that serves the city of Vilankulo in the Inhambane Province .
Modernisation
In 2009 a Chinese company called Anhui Foreign Economic Construction Corporation began construction work on the airport with a estimated cost of 9 US$ million. According to main reports, work to refurbish,expand and modernise the Vilankulo International Aerodome and is expected to be concluded in nine months that will make now possible for large aircraft to access the airport and use the facilitys. Since the expansion of the passenger terminal its is now able to have a capacity of 200,000 passengers from its 75,000.
