Additional Information: Lydd airport is currently undergoing an expansion plan to incorporate, long-term new terminals, extended runways and increased passenger and cargo facilities. It now operates daily scheduled services to France as well as a number of freight operations to Europe.
Getting to Lydd
By Train
Visitors travelling by train should travel to Lydd via Ashford International and then by bus or taxi to Lydd Airport.
By Car
Lydd Airport is situated 22km south of Ashford in Kent. After exiting the M20 at Junction 10 and joining the A2070 Southbound, the airport is well signposted. The motorway to terminal journey time is 20 minutes. London to Lydd Airport takes 1h 20 minutes by car.
By Bus
Operated by Stagecoach East Kent, buses stop at the airport terminal (from Folkestone) and the end of the approach road

We are authorised to perform scheduled and charter, domestic and international flights. These can be with passengers or cargo. This is identical to the authority held by the major airlines of Europe.
LyddAir flies a fleet of Britten Norman Trislander aircraft. Reliable Lycoming engines power the aircraft. Our cabins are configured with single-class 16 seats. All of our flights offer window seats and the Trislander makes a superb viewing platform as we cross the busy English Channel.
Scheduled flights operate from Lydd and Le Touquet Airports as well as many others such as Le Havre, Deauville, Le Mans, Amsterdam and Antwerp on a charter basis.
