Boulder City Municipal Airport (IATA: BLD, ICAO: KBVU, FAA LID: BVU) is a city-owned public-use airport located one mile (1.6 km) southwest of the central business district of Boulder City, in Clark County, Nevada, United States. History
Boulder City Municipal Airport replaced Boulder City Airport that started out as Bullock Airport.
On March 19, 2009 the Boulder City Aerocenter, a new 30,000 sq ft (2,800 m) terminal, opened to service Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters, Grand Canyon Airlines and Scenic Airlines.
Facilities and aircraft
Boulder City Municipal Airport covers an area of 530 acres (214 ha) which contains three asphalt paved runways: 9L/27R measuring 2,200 x 60 ft. (671 x 18 m), 9R/27L measuring 4,800 x 75 ft. (1,463 x 23 m) and 15/33 measuring 3,850 x 75 ft. (1,173 x 23 m).
For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2006, the airport had 50,400 aircraft operations, an average of 138 per day: 79% general aviation, 20% air taxi and 1% military. At that time there were 232 aircraft based at this airport: 86% single-engine, 6% multi-engine, 7% helicopter and 1% ultralight.
