Bed-ah-Wick Field (FAA LID: 1WI3) is a very small private gravel/turf airport in Princeton, Wisconsin, that single engine prop planes can land. There is no control tower and no radio. Pilots must either visually guide their plane in for a landing or use the nearest radio to the airport for navigational aids. The airport is for private use and is privately owned. Permission is required prior to landing. A windsock is used to determine the ground wind direction and speed. The airfield was established May 1958. Facilities
- Runway 18/36 1,800 x 100 ft. (549 x 30 m) turf with low intensity runway edge lighting.
- Two former east / west runways, 1,300 and 1,700 ft (400 and 520 m) long, are currently used as taxiways.
Incidents
- A home-built Kraetzner Sky-Buggy crashed in a marsh north of the field following take-off August 20, 1995.
- A Piper PA-28-140 was substantially damaged when it crash landed in a marsh north of the field on September 8, 1994. One minor injury.
